Naka Ima Aikikai Nederland (NIAN)

On the 9^th of June 2005 Naka Ima Aikikai Nederland (NIAN) was founded by a number of Dutch Aikido groups which at that time had followed Ikeda sensei 7^th dan aikikai shihan and his assistants a number of years.

Naka Ima Aikikai Nederland now consists of several Aikido groups with a as chief instructor Henk van Duin, 4^th dan aikikai. In addition to this, our organisation has several 2^nd and several 1^st dan assistant instructors. Unfortunately, Ikeda sensei no longer teaches due to his health but at the moment we have external technical guidance from Michele Quaranta 6^th dan aikikai.

Meanwhile we successfully organise international Aikido seminars at least seven times per year with teachers as Fransco Marrella 6^thdan aikikai, Michele Quaranta 6^thdan aikikai, Fritz Heuscher 5^th dan aikikai and Therese Urh 4^th dan aikikai. These seminars educate according to the system of Ikeda sensei, also know as Sanshinkai Aikido and are attended by aikidoka from many European countries such as Switzerland, Ireland, Germany, Luxembourg and Czech Republic.

Currently the following groups are a member of Naka Ima Aikikai Nederland:

• Aikidovereniging Seika-no-Itten
• Sanshinkai Aikido Utrecht
